Causes for environmental pollution Short Essay ln English

Environmental pollution is the biggest danger

POLLUTION

Causes of Environmental pollution is the biggest danger to the human race on this world today. It means contaminating the environment. The environment consists of earth, water, air, plants and animals. If we contaminate them, then the reality of man and nature will be hampered. In today’s day and age, it is perhaps the biggest problem we are facing globally. Many international organizations like the UN is making concentrated efforts to address this problem.

It is true that trees are being cut down at a fast pace. Our earth is becoming warmer. If pollution continues, the day is not far when our earth will be a boiling pan and become a desert. Or it will be covered with sea water causing destruction of mankind. Pure air is always needed for inhaling. If we inhale pure air, our well-being improves. On the other hand impure air causes sicknesses and impairs our health and causes our death. Smoke pollutes the air. It is the root of air pollution. The smoke which is discharged from industries, vehicles and kitchens is the mixture of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, methane etc. These are all poisonous gases. These cause lung-cancer, tuberculosis etc. which take a heavy toll of life. The garbage emitting foul smell, the mouldering plants and animals also cause air pollution. Hence the doctors advise the patients having lungs trouble to

settle in some rural places because the air of villages is pure and free from the populace. Then, sound pollution. The harsh sounds of buses, its, mopeds etc. affect our power of hearing and causes fart trouble. During festivals especially this problem escalates. This is also a matter of deep concern during elections when there is incessant propaganda during elections. Water pollution is also a huge menace. Industries irresponsibly dump chemicals and other toxins into rivers and other water bodies. This water is then rendered useless for other purposes. There is a need to treat these substances before releasing them in the water bodies. Another form of pollution that is catching up today is e-pollution. With technology being made obsolete by various electronic companies, this is a form of wastage that is soon becoming one of

the biggest contributors to pollution.

There is a need to increase awareness on the subject of pollution. It has been made a compulsory subject by the government. But there is a need for all of us to do our bit and be responsible for the environment so that we don’t invoke nature’s fury. ‘
