26th of January is a gala day for every Indian. On 26th Jan. 1950, the Constitution of India came into force and our country, India became the Republic. We celebrate this day as a festival every year. This year it was celebrated with pomp and show in our school.
All the students assembled on the school ground at 7:30 am. After some time the principal and other distinguished persons arrived. The principal unfurled the national flag. This was followed by our National Anthem ‘Jan Gan Man’ sung by a team of students. Then the series of speeches started.
The Principal addressed the gathering. He emphasized the need for student participation in Games and sports. Our class teacher also delivered a fine speech on the ‘Importance of computer’ and ‘English’. The whole programme of Republic day was nice. The programme ended with the distribution of sweets.

REPORT WRITING ONTHE REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION
The Republic day was celebrated in our school on 26th January. It is a day when. The Constitution of India came into force. All the students of the school assembled in the ground. Our school Principal and the staff were also present. S. S. P. of the city was the chief guest.
The chief guest hoisted the national flag which was followed by the national anthem. Then the chief guest and our principal gave speeches on the importance of Republic Day. After that, there was a cricket match between the students, races and some other sports.
The winners were awarded prizes by the chief guest. In the end, sweets were distributed to all the students.
